Penny serves as the Country Head for the United Kingdom and is a Partner and Head of Simmons + Simmons International Financial Services Regulatory practice across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
As the UK Country Head, Penny is committed to building upon a legacy of excellence focussing on a laser focus on the needs of clients, partners and hugely talented teams.
Penny specialises in a wide range of UK and EU regulatory matters including being trusted adviser to a number of Boards, the C suite and senior General Counsel on a range of their issues including governance, conduct risk and culture. Penny has advised extensively on the FCA’s Senior Managers Regime, Consumer Duty and the forthcoming European retail investment strategy and its impact across investment bank and asset manager manufacturers, to private bank and wealth distributors and mass retail facing organisations.
Previously, Penny Chaired the Firm’s Remuneration Committee and has served a 3 year term. Penny established the Strategic Advisory Council – our shadow “executive” board to provide a forum for our next generation talent to influence and advise on strategic decision making whilst acting as an ideas factory and sounding board for senior management.
