Mr. Justice Seamus Woulfe was educated at Belvedere College, Dublin, Trinity College, Dublin, Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia, and the Honourable Society of King’s Inns. He was called to the Bar of Ireland in 1987 and to the Inner Bar in 2005. He was a part-time lecturer at Trinity College, Dublin, Law School from 1987 to 1992. He was Vice-Chairman of the Bar of Ireland between 2016 and 2017, and during his time as Vice-Chair he established a Wellness Committee.
Mr. Justice Woulfe acted as Legal Assessor to the Fitness to Practice Committees of the Irish Medical Council, the Irish Nursing and Midwifery Board and the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland between 2009 and 2017. He was a member of the Sports Ireland Anti-Doping Panel from 2010 to 2014. He was a member of a Working Group on Judicial Review at the Law Reform Commission in 2002. He was a member of the Central Bank Inquiry Panel on Insider Trading from 2014 to 2017. He served as Attorney General between 2017 and 2020. Mr. Justice Woulfe was appointed directly to the Supreme Court of Ireland in 2020
