Nuala Butler is a Judge of the Court of Appeal since October 2022 having been appointed to the High Court in October 2020. Prior to becoming a judge, she practised as a barrister in Dublin for over 30 years with a particular expertise in public law, and in planning and environmental matters. She also lectured law in UCD. Since 2021 she has been a member of the Implementation Group responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Civil Justice Reforms set out in the Kelly Report
